The Safe Center’s Housing Programs assist survivors in starting a new life free of the violence they are fleeing. While in the program, these families work to gain the emotional and economic independence necessary to live in peace and safety.
Women and children who are not safe in their own homes are accommodated for up to 90 days at the Safe Home for Abused Families, a residence maintained at a confidential location.
The Housing Department has an additional options for longer term housing. Project Horizon assists, for up to 2 years, domestic violence survivors and their children
